Cruelty-Free = Guilt-Free
Consumer Research in Mintel's April 2007 US Makeup report reveals, "Ethical products are also important to consumers, since over half of respondents feel it is important to buy products that have not been tested on animals. Similarly, 30% of those surveyed feel it is important for manufacturers to give a portion of the proceeds to a charity. Again, marketers may use this to help their products stand out from the crowd, since only 9% of makeup products used one or the other in 2005-06."
I for one, definitely would prefer to use products that are not tested on animals. Smashbox was recently voted Best Cruelty-Free Cosmetics Company by peta2, the world’s largest youth animal rights organization. For those of you who are looking for cruelty-free beauty products, take a look at the new Smashbox Palettes For PETA. $34 @ Sephora. The packaging is cute (pictured above)and so are the eye shadows (pictured below). This palette makes for a guilt-free splurge wouldn't you say?

Bacne and Goose Pimples
Tank tops and swimsuits require showing a bit more skin then normal. Unfortunately this means that every one's bacne is on full display. (bacne- back acne) I am sure that there are many people who could benefit from this product and more like them. Purchasing it online allows bacne sufferers to avoid the embarrassment of the knowing eyes of the sales clerk.
mark The Body Squad Bacne Acne Treatment $7
For those people who suffer from permanent goose pimples, which is actually keratosis pilaris (a common skin disorder typified by "chicken skin" or bumpiness on the surface of the skin) there is a product for you. Dermadoctor KP duty can smooth out the red bumps on your arms and you too can have the confidence to go sleeveless.
DERMAdoctor KP Duty $36 @ Sephora
These are problems that may women (and men) suffer from, which is why it is curious that there aren't more products out there to correct these problems...

Do you love your feet in Louboutin?
Christian Louboutin designs gorgeous shoes that can often be found gracing the most gorgeous celebrities on the Red Carpet. The shoes are best known for the flash of red on the underside (the Louboutin signature red sole). These are the Bruges patent pumps, which are $685. They might cost just a tad too much for some of us, but there is something else out there for Louboutin admirers. Check out the new Louboutin manicure.
The nails are painted dark and the underside is painted red. How iconic does a shoe have to be to have a manicure named after it?
Some women love Christian Louboutin shoes because of the instant glamour and the added height that they provide, but such high heels can be torture to walk in. For those of you who suffer for fashion, there is a new product that just might change all that.

The new Band-Aid Active Flex Blister Block Stick invisibly prevents blisters and reduces rubbing on skin. The tests that they conducted revealed that the Block Stick prevented blisters and rubbing for 9 out of 10 consumers. What could be better? The cost is only $6.99.

A New Way To Get Your Morning Caffeine
So, you don't like the taste of coffee? You can now get your morning caffeine from your shower gel. Shower Shock Caffeinated Body Wash is available from Think Geek for $12.99. Each normal-sized application gives you about 200mg of caffeine rushing into your blood stream.
A spokeswoman for the company said: “The caffeine is absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream. It has exactly the same effect as if you were drinking coffee. Your blood pressure and pulse rate will increase, making your brain feel more alert and awake. "
